Field conditions, corrections, last-minute fabrication, repairs, and custom details that help move a project toward completion.
Experienced help when the job gets complicated
Stanrod helps contractors get difficult work across the finish line, helps homeowners turn ideas into real projects, and steps in when a repair needs more than a quick patch.

Practical solutions for real-world projects
The work changes from job to job. The goal does not: solve the problem cleanly, safely, and in a way that holds up when it matters.
Railings, signs, brackets, decorative steel, custom features, and ideas that need to fit a real home instead of a catalog page.
Equipment, structures, and odd problems where the right answer takes judgment, fit-up, reinforcement, or a completely new approach.
There is not one “typical” Stanrod project
A production order, a trailer repair, and licensed metal art all use different parts of the shop.

Repeat recognition pieces
This was a mass-order project for a large company recognizing all the employees who helped on a large project. Each aluminum Steamboat got 1-inch offsets on the back, powder coat, and engraving. This was one stack of four.

Trailer repair
We have repaired dozens of trailers over the years, of all shapes and sizes. Quality is very important to us, so often when we see expanded metal we go through and fix any broken welds and weld each diamond for extra strength, which is what Adam is doing on this one.

Licensed Alabama signs
Stanrod is officially licensed by the University of Alabama to produce metal signs using its protected marks. These solid-aluminum signs are finished in powder coat here in our shop; Crimson Red and Hammer Black are two of the most popular finishes.
Learn the skill, practice the work, then prove you can do it
FabChallenge combines video lessons, practice, and a real graded standard so people can improve before they put their work to the test.
